Blind Date becomes Burlap & Beams Wedding!
Kate & Chris have Janet, Chris’ co-worker and Kate’s neighbor, to thank for their meeting. She sure knew how to spot mutual interests!
On the fated day of their blind date, Kate & Chris connected in Saratoga over a good beer, but also over a mutual disconnect. While the Yankees playoffs were on the big screen behind them, it was Kate who couldn’t look away, which sold Chris immediately. (Note their Yankees caps in the Burlap and Beams wedding photography below.)
Adventures continued for 3.5 years, including the adoption of Callie, their hound mix. Callie taught Kate & Chris to work together, navigating uphill battles and literally overcoming mountains — as in the 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks.
Bagging Cascade, their first high peak together, Chris took the day to even loftier heights by proposing at the summit.
Preparing for their big day at the Merrill Magee Inn, Kate had 3 first looks that morning — with her dad, her husband-to-be, and even one with Callie.
The ceremony and reception were held at the beautifully rustic Burlap and Beams barn where love, sunshine and thunderstorms all poured down upon Kate and Chris, blessing them with the full gamut of warmth, laughter and cool, clean fun.
Congratulations, Kate & Chris!
May your continued journey be as sweet as your beginnings and at least 8 times as long!
Thanks to all who made this celebration so special…
