Spider Webs of FallField of Dreams
Spider Web Wonderland?
I was snared by this spider web project quite by accident. As the morning sun illuminated a nearby pond, I stopped to photograph it — and what I thought were bright fronds of grass in the neighboring field. It wasn’t until I opened the images on my computer that I realized the fronds of grass were actually spider webs. THOUSANDS of them.
Lovely Lace or Terror Traps?
If spider webs aren’t your thing, I can understand. Hopefully, you’ll find some beauty here, even if it’s a challenge to get past your heebie-jeebies. I think they’re beautiful, delicate and lovely. Add a few drops of dew, and these spider webs become magical works of art!
The images here were captured all across New York State, from Albany to Buffalo.
