Blind Date Becomes Barn Wedding!

Kate & Chris have Janet to thank for their meeting. Janet is Chris’ co-worker. She and her husband Doug were Kate’s neighbors. Who knew Janet wore so many hats, being a talented matchmaker, as well! She sure knew how to spot mutual interests!

On the fated day of their blind date, Kate & Chris connected in Saratoga over a good beer, but also over a mutual disconnect. Distraction was the name of the game — as in the Yankees playoffs on the big screen behind them. It was Kate who couldn’t look away, which sold Chris immediately.

Adventures continued for 3.5 years, including the adoption of Callie, their hound mix. Callie taught Kate & Chris to work together and manage this beautiful little family of theirs. They learned to navigate uphill battles together and overcame mountains — as in the 46 High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Bagging Cascade, their first high peak together, Chris took the day to even loftier heights by proposing at the summit.

Preparing for their big day at the Merrill Magee Inn, Kate had 3 first looks that morning, with her dad, her husband-to-be, and even one with Callie. The ceremony and reception were held at the beautifully rustic Burlap and Beams barn where love, sunshine and thunderstorms all poured down upon them, blessing them with the full gamut of warmth, laughter and cool, clean fun.

Congratulations, Kate & Chris!
