After volunteering in a small Ghanaian Village during the summer of 2008, I recorded my thoughts for Village Volunteers’ blog. Village Volunteers provided the tools and connections for my wonderful cultural immersion. It is my hope to continue working closely with them toward sustainable solutions addressing hunger and providing empowerment to those villagers who called me friend while focusing on cultural preservation.
