Ski lift lovers summit and soar!
From skiing and snowboarding to fishing, and riding dirt bikes acorss the country together, Rinnie & Jay met during a financial exam for work — a fact hard to believe for these hardcore adrenaline junkies. With over 2000 candidates taking that exam, Jay mistakenly sat in Rinnie’s seat. Six months later, they started working together and, during conference travels, became good friends who spent weekends making the most of the outdoors.
Although they call Colorado ski country “home,” Rinnie’s family’s cabin is at Gore Mountain in New York. So Gore was the ceremony summit of choice for our ski lift lovers.
Just like our couple, family and friends traveled from all over the globe to join them. (To see just how far, take a gander at the welcome sign they made for their guests.) And just like their lives, the ceremony became an adventure, too.
“Let’s do this!”
Lightening & rain threatened zero visibility and, if the gondola had to shut down, there was a chance of stranding guests with no cover. When asked if they should go with plan B, Rinnie & Jay searched weather patterns, calculated the risk, and both said “Let’s do this!”
The risk was worth it, and then some. The ceremony backdrop was beautifully serene for their Gore Mountain wedding photography. The mist added a magical element to Rinnie & Jay’s vows and portraits. The one above even made the pages of Gore Mountain’s website for 2017!
Our bride and groom passed the “chair test” of that fated first meet and went straight on to the “chair lift.” So, of course we shot more Gore Mountain wedding portraits in one of those, too. Even the reception became an adventure when our bride and groom launched perfectly into the Dirty Dancing aerial lift.
Because, of course they did.
Congratulations, Rinnie & Jay!
I can’t wait to see what intrepid adventures you beautiful people take next!
Thanks to all who made this celebration so special…
